The idea

The hardest part of buying perfume online is that you can't smell it. rev opens with a seven-question quiz: who it is for, scent family, sweetness, strength, season, occasion, and whether it is a gift. Then it recommends perfumes with a match score.

Payment works the Egyptian way: cash on delivery, or an InstaPay or wallet transfer with a screenshot. Delivery is priced by governorate.

  1. The opening

    Rings of perfume bottles circle the headline, with two choices: take the quiz, or shop everything.

  2. The scent quiz

    Seven questions with sliders and choices, while the bottles behind rearrange with every answer. Answers are saved and can be shared as a link.

  3. The results

    Filters for her, him and unisex, price sorting, a match score on every perfume, and a compare switch.

  4. The perfume page

    Sizes with the price per bottle and per ml, the notes pyramid, performance, and the match breakdown. When sold out, a WhatsApp "tell me when it's back" button.

  5. The bag

    The bag is kept if the shopper leaves, and quantities change in one tap.

  6. Checkout

    A checked Egyptian mobile number, 27 governorates, three payment methods with a transfer screenshot upload, promo codes, and free delivery over 3,000 LE.

Features

  • Prices are checked on the server

    Prices, discounts and delivery are recalculated by the store, so nobody can change a price from their browser.

  • Orders survive a dropped connection

    If sending fails, the shopper gets a button to send the full order on WhatsApp.

  • Every order copied to Google Sheets

    Each order is added to a sheet, the transfer screenshot is saved to Drive, and the owner gets an email.

  • Floating deals with a countdown

    A deal card with a moving flame and a countdown, which shoppers can dismiss.

  • Opens instantly

    The catalogue is kept on the device, so return visits open without waiting.

  • Images shrink themselves

    Transfer screenshots are shrunk before upload, so it is quick even on mobile data.

The owner runs everything from /admin: orders, perfumes, promo codes, deals and settings, without calling a developer.

Under the hood

  • Static pages with Cloudflare Functions and a D1 database, all on the free plan.
  • Perfume photos are cached for a year, and transfer screenshots are never cached.
  • The admin panel is blocked from search engines and from being embedded in other sites.
